WHY ARE ANTISTATIC FILTER BAGS USED?
Antistatic filter bags are particularly important in industries such as plastics and flour production, where electrically charged dust entering the system can pose a hazard. Although polyester filter bags can be used across many industries, electrically charged dust and air may cause fires in some filtration systems. Antistatic filter bags are therefore manufactured to make dust and air safe through electrostatic control. This helps eliminate the risk of fire and supports reliable system operation.
Conductive rods placed inside the bags or conductive fibre strips incorporated during manufacture help prevent these hazards. This construction protects both the bags and the filtration system, allowing the facility to continue production without disruption.
WHERE ARE ANTISTATIC FILTER BAGS USED?
Antistatic filter bags are mainly used in the following industries. Applications may vary depending on the production facility and the raw materials processed.
Cement plants, metalworking facilities, wood processing plants, grain storage facilities, fertiliser plants, quarries, plaster plants, smelting facilities, polishing plants and lead processing plants.
In these industries, dust may enter the filtration system carrying an electrical charge.
